Windows 11 25H2 shipped the day after Windows 10 died, bugs included
Windows 11 25H2 rolled out with four acknowledged known issues
The market's verdict: +1.2% on MSFT in the week after.
What actually happened
On October 1, 2025, one day before Windows 10's end of support, Microsoft pushed Windows 11 25H2 to broad rollout while its own release health page listed four acknowledged bugs, including protected content playback failures in Blu ray and DVD apps, and the launch day advice from the press was, literally, do not install it if any of the four affects you. Later October updates added a broken recovery environment and black screen issues before things settled. A rollout timed to catch Windows 10 refugees, greeting them with a known issues list.
This one is officially acknowledged.
